Food, atmosphere, and coffee was wonderful at the cafe/restaurant. Service here was great. Didn't like the souvenir shop and atmosphere here was completely different to the cafe. Shop assistant more interested in talking to someone else than serving customers.

A great place to buy chocolate you really do not need but just can't resist. Forget the bars and go for the more exotic pieces such as motorbikes etc. If on a budget just buy a bag of seconds to satisfy your needs.

It is on Link road and worth the stop. Very nice chocolate, top end but seconds are also available. I am taking it home to enjoy at my leisure.

Loved the Chocolate factory had morning tea there and then came back for lunch after visiting other places. The food was great - being fresh, in reasonable quanties and suitable prices. I would recommend that if you are buying chocolates for the people you stay with, that you have small boxes for wrapping - the shop wraps in small paper... More

During our recent trip through Napier we stopped at the Silky Oak Chocolate Factory. Lots of options, coffee or lunch; a chocolate shop with yummy delights or can now be used as a meeting venue with catering. I've done them all and keep returning. Museum was interesting but being charged cost $8 pp, too much. Gift shop has big range for cake decorating. Selection at chocolate shop disappointing small. Fun to see it all though.
