Carino is a great option for seeing the Bay of Islands. The catamaran takes about 20 people at one time so it's peaceful and you don't feel like you are one of the hordes on the larger boats. A fabulous experience, the crew were very friendly and knowledgeable and made you feel extremely welcome. It was the last week of a month’s tour of NZ. In the past we have been whale watching in Cape Cod and Kaikoura, both on larger vessels, but this felt much more sociable. There was plenty of room on board and the weather... more

We had a thoroughly enjoyable day with Carino. The boat was fully booked, but it did not feel crowded on board at all. I thought that this trip was just amazing. It was so calm and relaxing to just sail around the different bays. We founds some dolphins unfortunately due to them having babies we werent able to go swimming with them, but that was ok because it was still fun.
