Beautiful homes, garden, B&Bs, history. Ferry crossing is fun, quick and reasonable.

Wedecided not to book any of the guided tours or demonstarations for our visit. Instead we were happy to use our guide book and wonder around at our own pace. The grounds are beautiful. It is a gorgeous place to visit, with so much history. We loved walking along the back track where you experience breathtaking views of the bay...

Very welcoming, impressive and lots to learn about Maori and Maori culture.
Full of historical interest for the people and culture of Aoteroa, New Zealand. The Treaty grounds are well worth a visit to put in place how New Zealand began for the early immigrants, and for the coming together of two peoples to live in one country.

The relaxed method of visiting - you can take a guided tour or just soak up the atmosphere on one's own
We visited a few days before Waitangi Day, and enjoyed the experience. We learned so much about Maori legacy and its impact. We enjoyed the views of the Bay of Islands, the war canoes, and the meeting house and other buildings on the site.
We wish we could have had more time to wander - but we all agree it...
