This is a must do attraction whilst you are in Rotorua. The Tamaki Bros bus picks youup from your hotel and takes you to the village reception where you are provided with information about the evening and a dvd plays showing what to expect. Went to Tamaki Village at the end of October. In one evening, we had a thorough introduction to the traditions, housing, clothing, food and music of Maori people. Wandering through the village brought explanations from Maoris at each house about traditions and activities. Could not have got this from a book. more

Great show of Maori culture. Highly entertaining peformers, accompanied by a nice dinner. Good value for your money. Only downside occurred on the bus trip back to the motel, when a opossum ran under the bus and derailed the brake system! Gave the opossum a zero for that one. more
