We love this place. This time we got to pat a lion cub. They are not always available but have been on our last two visits. We fed lots of animals, fish and birds with special food you can buy there. It is a great place to walk among NZ trees and in NZ wetlands and get a real NZ... More

Patting the lion cubs is so wonderful. Two cubs for you to enjoy & get up close with. You can actually go into their enclosure & have your photo taken with them. The rest of the park is stunning as well. Lots of trout pools, ducks, sheep, deer, wallabies etc etc. Fairly flat walk around the park. Peaceful & secluded... More

Have been here before but took my mum this time as she is crazy about big cats. We got to pet a young lion but she was not overly happy about this and was getting annoyed. The opportunity to touch a lion is great but I can't help feeling sorry for them. The park itself is rather small and you... More

Arrived a bit too late to spend too much time. However, where else can you go and pat a 6 month old lion cub? Almost nowhere I think. Excellent walks around the other attractions and good variety of animals for the littlies to enjoy More

I spent at hour at the wildlife park before leaving Rotorua and was not disapointed. They had two 6 month old lion cubs which we were allowed to pat and stroke which was an amazing experience. The rest of the park was also fun and great for those with children as you get to see some beautiful animals up close... More

Took my kids to the park. The highlight was patting the 2 cute lion cubs. The park is immaculate, the staff helpful and friendly and a great day out for the family. More

We had a lot of fun because we're suckers for big cats, but otherwise, the place is quite expensive considering there's not that much variety of animals. A whole bunch of trout (in which I have no interest in), sucks, goats, sheep, donkey... Not really a wild-life park... But did enjoy the lions and the possum (cute little fella) More
