We purchased a Gondola and Luge package for a discount price. The Gondola was nice but the Luge was even better. Personally I would probably go back to Rotorua just to go back on the Luge! more

We tried going twice and even called in advance the second time. Both times we encountered complete incompetence with the luge employees. We abandoned the idea and elected to wait to experience the luge in Queenstown. This is much better if you have the option as the view is much better than in Rotorua. more

Great views and the steadiest gondola ride we had BUT we made the mistake of going after 5pm which is when the coachs arrive so the luge was closed for 3 coachs of tourists more

Very fun. I think its fine for all to try out the expert route after the scenic one. I will consider the scenic route most interesting route amongst the 3 routes. Did the luge in Rotorua and it is good family fun at a really good price. For $125NZ all five of us were able to have five runs down the luge. It is so fun and there are three courses to take so you can have a different experience each time. The views are beautiful over the lake and city... more

Have done both Rotorua and Queenstown luges and the Rotorua offers three different tracks vs Q'towns two, and the ride is longer on all of them. Of course, the view is not as jaw-droppingly amazing, but you could always just go up in the Gondola for the view and skip the luge.. Either way they are both loads of fun... more
