We liked this the best of the few thermal parks we visited. The Devils bath has to be seen to be believed. Also the champagne pool was WOW! We did tracks 1, 2 and 3 with kids 9, 7 and 2 and it was do-able, some carrying of the little one but do-able. The colours here were the most spectacular. more

We knew Wai-o-tapu would be memorable but it is really like another world. We got to hike thru a steaming collection of craters and hot springs. We were very impressed with this geothermal wonderland. Champaigne pool especially was astonishing with its vivid colors and bubbling water. So was the all-green Devil's bath.
