Didn't really do much there but it's a beautiful setting. The Lakeland Queen boat is based at the lake - which I would like to go on next time we're in Rotorua. The park there is amazing though if you've got kids! Recommend having a picnic there or even around by the museum/baths if weather permits

A drive around the whole of lake allows you to truly enjoy the beauty of this region which is constantly changing duw to the Earth's behaviour. There is so much to see, admire and regret that lives and whole villages have been lost within the last few centuries. Enjoy it now!

A trip on this lake is well worth while, as it's lovely to view Rotorua from a different angle.

From all the activity on the lake to the children's playground there is always something interesting happening and great photo opportunities. The walks around the lake are great for pleasure and fitness.

Lake Rotorua is a great place to spend a couple of hours while in Rotoura. A very lovely lake with walking paths around it, pretty gardens at the entrance. There is plenty to do around the area and lots of restaurants near by.

Lake Rotorua is a nice area to visit on the North Island with lots of activities available, plenty of restaurants and probably too many hotels in which to choose from. Having visited here on a couple occasions, I must admit preferring Lake Taupo to Lake Rotorua but this is still a great place to visit when traveling around on the... More

If you like fishing this lake is full of big fat trout! Fish where the ice cold steams enter the lake. Water can be quite murky compare to other lakes in the area
