By the time we got here we had seen a few thermal parks so the geysers and steaming water and bubbling mud was not new. But the couple of hundreds of steps down into a cool mystcal cave which had such pretty and warm water in a pool a t the bottom. you definitely get the feeling this cave has... more

Hello It is a great discovery, the thermal area is impressive if you have never seen any. We had a bit of geyser activity if not much, the cave is really impressive and the whole experience is absolutely worth doing. On top of that, the people running the outfit are really nice and cool. So have fun ! Fabrice more

The visit begins with a trip across the lake from the car park to the island where... more

Recently we visited the Orakei Korako Thermal Park and I am very pleased to report that it was all that I had hoped for. Geysers were rumbling and exploding (we saw 3 erupt while we were there), steam was exuding from holes in the Earth's surface and the bubbling water holes were something I had not seen before. The dramatic... more
