Wrap up warm and go on one of the night walks around the sanctuary - I have been twice with freinds and both times seen a kiwi stomping about in the bushes - they are bigger than you think and very impressive to see in a free roaming place!

What a place in the heart of a city. We saw tuataras and much more. A wonderful place for apicnic and a great place to escape from the hurly burly of city life.
This place is wonderful!! Entry is relatively expensive for a family but well worth it if you can afford it. The peace and quiet of native bush, the seats by the lake and the birds singing..surperb. There is a very good information centre as well with staff on hand to answer any questions you may have. There are guided tours...

Walk amongst some lovely NZ bush, listen to the birds, see some wetas! Nice place to go for a stroll.
This is an amazing wildlife sanctuary within 10 mins drive of the city. A diverse array of native birds, reptiles and insects with bush walks in naturally regenerating native bush. There is also a great display of NZ's flora and fauna and it is a great cause.
did not go through the park had a good look in the loverly building and had lunch in the cafe, which was very good
Unless you just want to stay in your hotel and be lazy, it´s and expensive and disappointing experience. Otherwise save your money on some good trampoing shoes and get out there yourself.
If you like wildlife this place is a must do in Wellington

Many thanks for a...
