It's incredibly busy but worth it. You will need to book, we watched loads of people get turned away at lunchtime. Their wines aren't really my thing, a bit too young and green but the Rarangi sav blanc was okay.

This is probably the nicest cellar door in Marlborough, at least as far as the facilities are concerned. The building and grounds are of the highest standard. There's even a demonstration vineyard with grape varieties from all over the world (best to see during March and April). The restaurant is very good, if a bit pricey, and offers fresh local...

The lady doing the wine tasting last week was the best wine person I met in the city. She was so cheery and helpful and made us laugh. Wines were great here and food smelled amazing. They had rows in front of the winery of all the different types of their wines. Really cool.
What a smart place to visit.
Service from lovely Denise was great. She greeted our group and led us into some wonderful tastings.
The wine was great and the views were super.
We even got to try grapes from the rows of grapes out the front of the building. It is a special block that guests can try different wine...

The wine is fantastic and the recently opened restaurant is excellent, with scrumptious food and friendly wait staff. The cellar door/restaurant is also housed within an impressive building.
Lets start by saying that the winery is gorgeous! Simply stunning. And the vines out front for you to taste the grapes is really a nice touch. However, the woman who gave us our tasting did not seem to know the product very well, she spoke much too softly to understand and overall did not seem very confident. The wines...

We enjoyed our meal here but found the restaurant a bit minimalist and lacking in ambience. The service was just OK and all in all it wasn't a memorable occasion as it should have been.
The winery, cafe and cellar door are reason enough to visit, but what really sets this apart from other wine country stops is the Wine Library, a collection of all the major wine grapes grown in the area and world-wide. One row of vines of each type are planted in front of the winery; when the grapes are ripe, as...

Wither Hills restaurant has been serving lunch in their reataurant for quite some time but just recently started serving dinner. Our Innkeeper told us they had been getting great dinner reviews from their guests so we gave them a try. We had a lovely meal with a great bottle of wine and nice service. We returned the next day for...

We had a very enjoyable few hours travelling around the wineries near Blenheim and Wither Hills was one of the highlights. Its a great building, set among the vineyards, and offers tastings of some great wines (for a small fee). We were visiting on Easter Sunday and were realising that most of the lunch places would be booked out (as...
