This is a very relaxing and enjoyable way to see picturesque Christchurch. We went on a punt ride down the Avon River, very peaceful and great way to see the inner city. We didn't know much about it but our tram driver recommended that we jump on. It was 30 minutes of relaxation and a different way to see the inner city and only cost us $20 each. more

The Avon River is picturesque and a great place to walk along if you're in Christchurch. It's hard to miss if you're downtown, much of the city seems to radiate out from the banks of the Avon.
