A wonderful clock. so sad to see the earthquake damage but hopefully they can repair it.
The clock was damaged in the February earthquake and the hands stopped at 12:51, the exact time of the quake. Clock was beautifully restored before the quake and is still very beautiful if not slightly bent now.
It's not perfect at the moment, but it seems it's going to be well restored.
We have been there a couple of times and it reminds me of the clock tower in deira,Dubai which is a modern clock tower while this one is from olden times and is a significant part of history.
It has always been a wonderful reminder of history and since being damaged with the earthquakes it has a significant reminder of how fragile history becomes.

Our gorgeous iconic clock is badly damaged but still upright at this stage. It's clock has stopped as the time the big february earthquake took the lives of so many last year. I love this clock, I do hope someone saves it.
