Beautiful spot where you can spend time walking among the beautiful flora and fauna of the South Island. Some damage to the facilities from quake activity but the gardens & ponds are a beautifully maintained area. Not many other visitors on the day we visited so it felt like a private tour. Definitely recommend for garden enthusiasts!!

Beautiful grounds to take a picnic on a sunday. A relaxing place with a quiete location

Mona Vale is a very very small garden, which reminds me of a extremely small scale botanic garden. I'd recommend strolling through the garden for a quick stroll and don't forget to feed the ducks.

We visited Mona Vale to see the garden in late November. There was a big lily pond, but not very many were in bloom. The rhododendrons were also past bloom. But the rose garden was in full bloom and very nice. A wide variety of roses and they were well labeled.
