Luckily we had 4wd. a bit scary going up if u not use to steep roads... but it was fun!
Steepest street in the world, so it had to be climbed, and the stairs along the side do help. But overall, just a steep street.
Park your car at the bottom of the street and just walk up using the steps on one of the street side so you can rest while you hike up. It takes about 20 minutes up, walking, not running. There's a bench at the top for you to rest a bit and enjoy the view and take photos. You have...

Worth a climb to the top. It was nice to get out of the vehicle for a break. We didn't think we were going to walk up to the top but wasn't going to be outdone by my friend. lol
I think most visitors to dunedin will go to the steepest street.
Over rated, its just a steep street, nothing more.
Not as steep as expected. Quick walk to the top and down again. The steps on the footpath definately help.
No trip to Dunedin is complete without a walk up Baldwin Street. This time seemed much easier than the first time I went up, kids thought it was pretty cool.
