The all-morning walk on the bridle path through the forests along the lake's hillside was rich with variety. Guide Peter had first kindly checked to be sure it was ok with me to be the only one on the walk & generous to take me when no one else had registered. I was lucky he tailored the pace & information... more

My partner and i had a great time on the walk - we are keen snowboarders and while it was unusual to not be sliding down the mountain, we found the snow shoeing a great end-of-season alternative!! Walking on a frozen lake and having tea and coffee in the snow was great! The guide was knowledgable and catered for everyones... more

We did the half day Lakeshore, Forest & Bird walk with Karyn. It was a wonderful walk through the native forest with the lake shore always not far. The views across the lake were marvelous and the forest was spectacular. The walk is not step, so old and young alike would cope just fine. Karyn's pace was more of a... more

We enjoyed a wonderful day with Pete on our nature hike in the forest area near Queenstown. It was truly one of the highlights of our trip. Pete shares his extensive knowledge with ease and humor. The lakeside picnic lunch was delicious and the vistas absolutely awe inspiring. We would highly suggest anyone seeking a truly special experience to make... more

Its Andre and Michaela here from Sydney and we just finished the half day snow shoeing with Pete who was fantastic. His in depth knowledge of the mountains and experience of the area made the tour alot more personable and unforgettable. I would highly recommend going with this company as the price was more than reasonable for what you get... more

Like a few others here, booking in for showshoeing was a bit of a last-minute decision by us, and we did it not really knowing what we were getting ourselves in for. It turned out to be one of the highlights of our entire NZ stay! Pickup was prompt in an immaculate van with an entertaining and informative guide (Pete),... more

My husband and I went snowshoeing at the Remarkables in lieu of cross country skiing at Snow Farm. We were picked up at the hotel, fitted with snow shoes at the Remarkables and proceeded to hike/snowshoe around Lake Alta. It was fabulous watching avalanches, snow boarders and breathing that pure mountain air. Lunch and a cup of tea was more... more

We made a last minute booking to do snowshoeing in Queenstown without really having an appreciation of how good it was going to be. We were picked up from our hotel at 12:30 pm and returned at 6pm. Our guides took up to The Remarkables ski field above Queenstown where we spent several hours on the snow. We were provided... more

Having decided decided to walk up Ben Lomond (1747m) with Pete and Karyn from Guided Nature Walks, I thought I would treat myself to another night at Central Ridge Boutique Hotel as a reward for hauling myself up a mountain. The spa was what I had in mind, with a nice cold glass of sav. Perfect after a days walking.... more
