This was only the second time ice skating in my life. The ice was smooth and I was offered Ice Hockey skates instead of traditional ice skates if I wanted. There is a flat screen in the indoor room playing ice skating at Winter Olympics which was interesting to watch to rest and recover. Didn't try the food however the... More

Reading other reviews we actually found the staff very nice so there is always two sides to stories. The girls at the front desk were helpful and friendly. Skates looked new to me, we put them on and away we went. They had little trollies so you could skate and hold on which made it more fun. We stayed around... More

We are sorry you were disappointed with your experience. My recollections of the evening are slightly different. Our brand new skates had just been received that Friday and were being unboxed at the time. I apologise that your size was not available at the time. It looks a lot better the the pictures and the owners seem to be on top of things, found them not to be that friendly but maybe that is cultural..my kids love the fact that there is an ice arena in town..as a family we find it rather pricey...

Our kids had a fantastic and positive first ice-skating experience here - they ask everyday to return - all under 6 years and hooked on ice-skating! Thank You Queenstown Ice Arena for making our time memorable...we loved watching ice-skating movies in front of fire while the kids had a rest - will be back for more!
