From the varieties of the bird, it was okay. It had a good number of different species, many not very common. From the quality of self guide equipment it was really poor. I visited this place last week & paid $35 entry fee. I was extremely dissapointed with the selection of 'wildlife' - mainly around 8 species of birds, who looked very bored. The audio was very monotone & dull. more

We visited the Kiwi bird house about 10 years ago and enjoyed it. This visit took us by surprise. The cultural welcome by the Te Maori was a bit frightening, a good loud Haka, reminded us that we were visitors to a foreign land. And with that we went out and explored. I was in Queenstown for the second time in August 2007, and decided to try the Kiwi Birdlife Park as I'd passed it going to the Skyline Gondolas a few times.
