This was the best trip I did in New Zealand hands down. It is worth it to take the flight, as the drive from Queenstown is very long. The flight is scenic and beautiful itself and the boat tour in Milford sound is unforgettable.

We did a fly/curise/fly and the flight we had booked from Queenstown to Milford Sound was cancelled, apparently the weather can be very different from Queenstown where the sun was shining. We had a wonderful trip with Milford Sound Airways. It certainly is THE way to see Milford from Queenstown. It was the best day of our month long tour of New Zealand in February this year. The experience blew us away.

We did the fly/cruise/fly option. There's also a bus/cruise/fly and a bus/cruise/bus option.
