This is such an interesting place. The RFDS is such a critical service provided at no charge to people in the bush and the many tourists to the area. The tour itself starts with a high quality film then a walk around the facility and more information given. The tour is pretty short and it would have been nice to... More

We arrived there knwoing that the 1st tour wasn't due to depart until 11am, but after talking to the staff and saying we were heading back to Adelaide they took us through at 10.30am. I guess it helps that there is 5 of us. The tour only lasted for 20 minutes, being taken in and shown the communications room and... More

I spent a bit over an hour here with my husband on a Monday afternoon. Although school holidays, we were basically the only ones here. Entry was $7 per adult. The location is at the airport about 5kms out of the town. When we arrived, we spent 30 minutes browsing the museum and gift shop and watching a short video... More

Very well thought out exhibition and a film that will bring a lump to the throat. The Flying Doctor Service is quite amazing and everyone should visit and see for themselves.

As the previous reviewer stated it is a $7 cost of entry for adults and it includes a short video and short tour of the office and the hanger. But all of that money goes into the operation of the RFDS so it is totally worth it! They do an amazing job and i don't think it is right to... More

$7 per adult entry. Pretty lame film about RFDS. Unfortunately it was just bits from the TV show, something about how the service was established would have been more interesting. Small written history with some museum pieces ok. View of hanger, planes and call centre with guided talk was interesting. Was going to buy a souvenier to support them but gift... More
