We took an afternoon cruise, advertised as "historic". The overall experience was pleasant enough, nice day cruising up the Hastings River and into the residential waterways...but ..not too much historical commentary....most of the trip was taken up with setting up for and executing the boom net activity..basically a net out the back of the boat where the kids on board...

The best value whale watching on the eastern seaboard and the friendliest crew to boot. We started with a phone call to book and thats where the knowledge and service skills came to the fore , very patient with silly questions. This is a must stop when travelling between Sydney/Brisbane. The Sports Boat Rides on fast RIBs (rigid inflatable boats) to see Humpback Whales is worth the $30. The boat ride out into the ocean is exhillerating in itself as you skip over the high rolling swell.
Once out to sea the objective is to look for water spouts. Once seen...
