This place has so much to offer couples of any age or the whole family. The steam train does long laps around the gardens, offering rides. A decent cafe is open for meals and refreshments. Extensive wetlands, walking trails and footbridges provide many opportunities to observe and interact with birds, lizards and other wildlife. A Chinese pagoda and footbridge are... More

The gardens include Bert Hinkler's English house reassembled in the the gardens beside the magnificent Bert Hinkler Aviation museum. The museum foyer is used to display local artisans work as well as an overview to Australia's early aviation history. The gardens complex is a lovely cool oasis to walk, read a book or picnic. A real treasure of Bundaberg. .
