Nice display about the river and the history of the area. Walk through to the neighbouring buildings to see the art gallery too - slightly hard to find but worth the effort!

The Palmerston North museum goes from strength the strength. Don't miss it for a taste of Manawatu life past and present
never seems to be a lot on display and now my kids are too old for the play area there just isn't enough to keep them entertained more than 30 minutes
We are so lucky to have this. Our family has thoroughly enjoyed Te Manawa and will miss it when we move. An absolute must for family and revisit over and over again
Te Manawa is a great place to go out and learn something you did not know before, the best times to go are when they have got a particular exhibit you are interested in.
I have long been critical of our local museum but no longer. Now the dispays tell a story and the local is placed into a New Zeland context. Te Manawa has had a major revamp and this has been successfully done.
Kids loved the play area spent three hours playing
Te Manawa is not your boring museum - it is fresh, new and interactive. Heaps for all ages, well worth a visit. Has Rugby Museum in it, but it was not open when we went.
