Been here a few times & taken neices & nephews who thought it was great. Very informative staff with interesting info on the wildlife there. Definately worth a visit. Just pity Big Red is now dead - he was absolutely huge (but you can see part of him in the shop!)

Great place to take the little ones for a picnic and to play with the animals. The morepork enclosure bored them so maybe this is more suitable for older children and adults. Once you get past the 80's dated decor in the office you get a guided tour which in great, spent a couple of hours being toured around the park.

This place gives a great personal guided tour of their animal collection. We enjoyed the weka and pukeko as much as the owls.
