We went to the Poor Knights dive sites as they are rated some of the best in the world. My husband and I are both professional divers and have worked in Fiji. We were a little disappointed as there was not much marine life around and both dives were just big kelp gardens really. I think we have just been... More

A totally one off experience , 1st class staff and stunning blue skies and seas. "Manta ray's , Bullers Shearwaters and numerous shoals of fish being shepherded by the boat .The massive sea cave and sea stacks were amazing. All diving equipment provided by "Perfect Days" of Tutukaka, great staff.

Noat that warm but what the hell we were kitted out in full wet suits with hoods and well fitted snorkel and flipper gear. we had plenty of time and saw wonderful coloured fish that flicked colour for colour each time they changed direction. sponges, sea squirts, eels, sea anemones, sea horses, clear water and steep islands with natural forest.... If you like marine life, this is a must-see on your trip to New Zealand! There are tons of jellyfish though, so a wetsuit is highly recommended :)

Beautiful place, both above and below water. Very nice for snorkling and probably even nicer for diving. The trip around the island is very nice as well., Just the boat ride there can be bumpy, so you might get sea sick if you are prone to that.

Diving the Poor Knights with Oceanblue diving - great wildlife, beautiful scenery, amazing undersea scenery - and all very affordable. Recommend it to any diver. The crew and Captain of the Mazurka are knowledgeable competent and safety conscious. The vis and conditions were great and the boat comfortable. 6/5!

I have been here numerous times for both dive training & pleasure dives. No matter how many times you dive here you'll still be hanging out to come back for more! Dive Tutukaka are fantastic to experience the reserve with too.. I've also been out on a liveaboard where we got to stay in the reserve overnight - can't recommend... More
