This is a fabulous piece of History lovingly cared for by a group of dedicated Volunteers. The school House and Home were significant to me I could not believe how much memorabilia that has been acquired! We spent 3 hours and could have stayed longer. It is $10 each for an Adult entry and worth every penny. Take a bottle... More
We were fortunate enough to be in Hervey Bay for their 150 year celebration which was held at the Historic Village and Museum. The folk had put in a fantastic effort for this and were all dressed up in period costume. They have done a lot of work around this attraction and it is well worth a visit.
Had a great time, was intrigued with the set up and show of stripping corn, making rope, wood turning and blacksmith all working, volunteers were informative, and friendly, happy to answer questions
This is a must see you can step back in time & see how the early settlers made their living & how they survived. See the old craft & skills that got them through their lives & what they achieved without all the mod cons that we have to-day. You wont be disappointed with this venue.

This is a Must See attraction in our Town. Hervey Bay really doesn't exist it is made up of local fishing villages, that have become one. You can see old Australin Bush dwellings and the History that surounds you, making you feel you are part of the History. Walk around and see Old tradesman doing their trade and honing their... More

Walking through all the various huts and sheds, gave me the severe impression about the hardship our ancestors had to live with. I... More
