I was in September so there weren't many fresh vegetables but plenty of treats to buy for now (Apfel Struddel, crepes, fried muffins, German sausages) or to be enjoyed later (honey, chocolate, crispy breads and smelly cheeses). These markets are great. I wouldn't say world-class like I've seen others write however. These was lots of choice and could spend a good hour strolling through. Not really cheap prices though

Something for everyone at this market from fantastic coffee and food to local crafts and art and lots more. I always take my visitors and without exception they all love it! They all go each time they visit Nelson.

The Nelson Market is probably the best in NZ. Its a Farmers Market, Craft Market and Food Market all in one. Go for breakfast like the locals do and avoid the rush later in the morning.
