We rented a holiday home through Nelson Holiday Houses and though the manager was very friendly it was an awful experience- the house was filthy (garbage and unmentioneables under the beds, mouse droppings in pots and pans,wallpaper peeling off). We booked a half day cruise / walk with Wilsons. Boat was first class and staff were very helpful. The scenery on both the cruise and walk were breathtaking.

I arrived las December in Nelson when the region had just had 786 mm of rain in three days, and there were landslides(slippages) everywhere in the region.
