What an amazing experience this was. After arriving at viewing point, champagne was flowing and canapes in abundance whilst we watched the sun-set. Then, we were taken to our outdoor dining area where we were seated with others in tables of 10. This gives you a chance to meet others. The food was great, wine was flowing and we listened... more

We really enjoyed our Sounds of Silence Dinner. What we will remember about that evening was meeting a table full of great people, drinking champagne while watching the sunset, gazing at the stars and the lamb chops. In this case, the sum of the parts exceeded the whole. It was one of our favorite evenings. more

While the experience of the 'Sound sof Silence' and service of the restaurant were five-star quality, the food didn’t quite reach that mark – the canapés at sunset were however fantastic. Is it still worth doing? …yes! For a more detailed review: www.foodtrails.net more

Herded off like animals on a coach, herded off bus, food ok, drink NOT flowing unlike specified on booking. Nice experience but would have been better off on a picnic bench on our own. more

We were in Uluru in July so bear in mind the time of year which will alter the conditions. We were picked up by coach from our hotel at 6:15 and driven out to one of the 3 SoS dining areas. We walked up a small hill anout 150 yards to the viewing area. Quite a way from the rock... more

Wow - Greeted at the base of a sand dune and led to the top for a sunset view of Ayers Rock whilst sipping on Champers and nibbling on fresh canapes. Once the sun sets, we are led over another dune and down a path to our very own dining room in the desert. Lit by low lamps and a... more

We arrived at the Voyages compound late in the afternoon and when checking into the Campground the receptionist confirmed our pick up with the SoS team which was earlier than we thought and left us less than an hour to park up, get out campervan sorted and ourselves ready. Don't underestimate how early you are picked up as we did.... more

This is a unique place, and the surroundings are spectacular, but I couldn't help feeling that although the well-meaning tour operators were great, and were trying their best, it was all done a bit 'on the cheap', with bits of tough kangaroo and tasteless food served up by a cheerful, but careworn Sheila who sooo wanted to go home, however... more

The evening begins when you are collected from your hotel by coach, usually around 6pm, but this depends on the time of sunset. Ours was the first pickup, so it was a bit of a bore as we had to go round the other hotels getting other guests, but someone has to be first! A ten minute ride brings you... more

You shouldn't miss it but there are too many people for it to be a deeply spiritual experience. The food was surpisingly good bearing in mind how many they are catering for but the best bit is the stars more
