We did the half day tour which was great!! We are a family of 5 and all of us loved this experience and it was our first time ever doing kayaking. We all paddled out to this little island called White Rock whereby you were able to snorkel and enjoy a lovely morning tea supplied by the Tour. On our... More

I did the half day tour. You go in two man kayaks. You have a 20 minute period in the harbour to get used to paddling and steering and then you head out to an island where you break for a snack and a snorkel before paddling back in. It isn't that physically exerting, anyone could do this. It was... More

Went for a 1/2 day snorkel and turtle trip with one of my girlfriends, we did the morning trip and it was the most perfect day for it. In the first 30 minutes we saw 3 massive turtles and a jellyfish. It was so nice being in a kayak because we got to get a lot closer to nature than... More

Our guide, Mark, was very friendly and extremely knowledgabe of the Whitsunday islands. The tour itself was definitely one for the books! We saw numerous sea turtles including a Loggerhead Sea Turtle, which looked to have weighed approximately 300 kilograms. The stop at 'White Rock' gave us the opportunity to snorkel amongst the colourful fish and coral life. Overall, a... More

Loved it - great kit, great instruction, great location. We are experienced kayakers, and it was not problem that the guide was a way off, but maybe if we hadn't been I'd have been a bit worried. BUT it was fantastic, only 4 other people on the trip besides us. We saw 2 turtles, and the water level view of... More

We were picked up from our hotel and taken to Shute Harbour,. Instructions given were good and kayaks looked fairly new. The day of our trip the sea was rough which made the journey out to one of the islands hard work and a little scarey but we made it and got back in one piece. Ours was a small... More

What a great day. Despite our initial concerns the kayaking was very easy. We paddled out to White Rock and back which is about 6km if you paddled in a straight line - the way we paddled, we probably covered 12km's! We saw at least 4 sea turtles on out trip and a number of stingrays. White Rock was a... More

Just got back from a few days sea kayaking around Whitsunday Island in Queensland. The landscape is amazing but then so is Salty Dog Sea Kayaking. Neill's knowledge of the area in phenomenal and he is willing to share it! The kayaks he hires out are really stable even when packed with gear and food for 3.5 days of camping... More
