A nice day trip from Sydney, we particularly enjoyed the railway ride! The boardwalk through the rainforest is nicely done. The Explorer Bus is a convenient way to tour the area if you don’t have your own car. Do be aware that the Blue Mountains are A LOT colder than Sydney—the day we went it was in the low 70’s... more

No matter what the weather, Scenic World is worth a visit. The day we were there in late autium, clouds were moving in and out to surround the Three Sisters, then clear briefly, but there are plenty of other aspects to the whole site which were both exciting and interesting. Took a train from Central to Katoomba just to get a glimpse of the 3 sisters but found the 3 ladies to be icing on the cake. I think the Scenic World is a great way for the time poor or those lacking in fitness to see the Jamison Valley and experience a walk in the bush. The walks cater to a veriety of abilities and even those in wheelchairs can be accomodated here. The Cableway and the Railway make it easy to get to the valley... more

Walk from the 3 sisters and Echo Point, where we did the giant steps walk down, then leura forest. Through scenic world and then cable car to the top. Highly reccommended walk. Good weather needed. Around 1,000 steps so decent fitness needed. Allow 3-4 hours hours. more

I was extremely disappointed with the Scenic World trip. It was expensive to travel on the sky way and the cable car and on the day I went the railway was closed. What really spoilt the trip for me was how crowded the cable car and the sky way both were - they were worse than being on a packed... more
