A fantastic golf course but make sure you do not lose all your golf balls at the 8th or 18th - two very challenging holes.
It's no surprise that San Lorenzo is often judged to be one of Europe's finest golf courses; fabulous scenery, a tricky stretch along the coast, lightening quick greens - a seductive challenge. Unfortunately the locker room is pretty basic - but the course is great!
some really attractive holes directly on the water are the highlights on the well maintained course. it is pricey and while a great experience, found many of the players snobby ... and not particularly good - but that is not necessarily the fault of the course.
My fav course in the Algarve. Stunning views. Not played all courses but most and all in Villamoura, Quinta & Val d' Lobo. If you stay at the Donna Phillipa in Val d' Lobo then it is really good value. Best two finishing holes any where!!
Golf course is in good condition the 18th hole is a wonderful test of course management. Water water everywhere and soon you're in the drink
It may never have featured on Tour, but this is a real test of golfing ability, but also a treat for the eyes, with some beautiful holes, especially around the estuary and lake. If you only play one course in the Algarve, this should be it.

I am sorry to say that many of the golfers are not up to the quality of challenge the course offers and as a result the rest of us...
