Basically just another exhibit of historical life in Ronda. They could have played up the fact that it was the Catholic Kings residence or perhaps furnished a few rooms as they would have been in the 1500's.

Lovely museum in the oldest part of Ronda. An old palace with Moorish patio gardens, quite a maze. Worth a look even if it isn't raining!

The actual building and gardens were interesting and pleasant and the 'interpretation displays' very useful explaining the history of Ronda and this area of Spain. Lovely views from the gardens too.

the best thing about the "palace" is the two patios with amazing views! the architecture is interesting to see, but the name palace really leads you to expect something more than there is. The museum is fairly interesting, giving information about the history of the town and the formation of the caves etc, but really i found it a bit... More

Nice little museum, worth an hour to visit. Great views from the gardens over the fields beneath the cliffs.

This little jewel of a museum, set inside a lovely old palace, has amazing comprehensive displays and dioramas that explain the history of the area from Paleolithic through Phoencian, Greek, Roman, Moorish times with artifacts unearthed in the region. The way the displays and information is presented draws the visitor into learning more. Everything explained in Spanish and English and... More

some of the exhibits were a little cheesy and dated but it was a comprehensive look at the history and geography of the area.

The Mondragon Palace provides the interesting archeological history of Ronda within a wonderful palace along the city walls. We didn't know what to expect going in here - two beautiful patios overlook the gorge, providing fantastic photos. The museum is a combination of a natural history museum/ please-touch museum that kids would also enjoy (although all visitors when we were... More

This museum is very interesting because one can see Mudejar architecture in it. The views of the countryside from the museum are wonderful. The gardens are also very good and tranquit.
