We were there in the morning before the majority of tourists came. We has the change to hear organ playing and acoustics was great!

The paintings in the Church are extraordinary beautifull and painted realistically. Didnt know who saint Barbara was untill I had visited the church.It is newer than most of the churches in the country .It has 3 spires

This Cathedral is very well worth the travel from Prague. We came with our own car, but I'm sure there are bus services available, and there are organized tours from Prague that will take you here, and to the "bone church" (also worth visiting), on a half day tour. Lots of rich history here from one of the first paintings to show perspective (3D) to some of the original confessionals to amazing architecture overall.

You aren't exactly spoilt for choice when it comes to days out from Prague that involve spending an hour or less on public transportation, but Kutna Hora is a fine day out if the weather is nice. Cathedral - beautiful! He is well preserved including partially preserved and the old frescoes, stained glass windows are excellent, stucco - a miracle!

We visited this Cathedral after a trip into nearby Sedlec to see the Ossuary(Bone Church). The exterior simply is beautiful(despite some frontal scaffolding). We had purchased a combo ticket in Sedlec which included this entrance. The stained glass windows inside were beautiful, however 20th c. I believe.
