A place close to Kladno, have to take bus from Dejvice subway station or train. Memorial of what was left after deleting the whole village, killing all men and sending women and children to concentration camps during WW II. And the reason? Just some vague cluess supporting anti-nacist underground, which turned out not be truth...

Just been there in early Dec. 2011. The bus i took was the A22 on the way there, and on the way back was the A56. If you tend to get car sick, you should take the A56, as it is a express bus. The A22 is a better bus if you would want to see the little villages on... More

The Lidice Memorial is situated about 20 km north west of Prague and is relatively easy to get to for those wishing to visit the village destroyed in 1942. Take the Metro Green Line A and travel in direction Dejvicka ( which is the end of the line). Buses also depart from Dejvicka to the Airport. Walk about one block... More

The site consists of a museum and book shop, small cafe, rose gardens, and the scant remains of the buildings of the village. From the entrance, you will walk down a gentle slope, past the memorial and mass grave of the men of... More

We came here to see a town which was wiped from the map. It was more poignant than the concentration camps. mostly because the Nazi's filmed the distruction. There are photos of nearly every person in town when the massacre ensued. The statues of the children are haunting.

You need to visit to understand man's inhumanity to man. The response from the world and in particular my home town is inspiring
