The story of Wenceslas Square's place in the struggle for human freedom is a drama waiting to be told but there's little here but shopping, shopping and the odd cabaret bar. Everyone was telling me to go and see this but I was never too bothered. It's one of the main tourist traps and I did a bit of reading up beforehand to see what was on the street and couldn't find anything which changed my mind. Not that its a bad street, it's quite ok! More of a boulevard than a square. The most crowded area is at the North end. In this area, there is a lot of shopping, as well as late-night sausage stands that offer a fast meal. This is a real tourist trap, and as such i stayed away from it for the most part. the beauty of the wide tree lined street is compromised by the tacky tourist shops and burger bars. the imposing facade of the museum is worth a look, but a visit to Weneslas Square is really only for shopping - which it... more
