The most striking thing about the Jewish Museum are the rooms filled with the names of the Jewish victims. Room after room with very small writing of the Czech Jews killed in World War II. Upstairs there is an exhibition of art work from the children in the concentration camps. It makes you weep.

The synagogue where Madeleine Albright found her grandparents' names, the cemetery, very very moving--6 distinct buildings.

Always the reminder is necessary - the devastation of Prague's Jews is painful, the memorial pays tribute to the loss

The Museum was interesting and thought provoking, especially in the room with all the Czech Jews that were murdered in the concentration camps during the war. The different places to visit within the museum could have been more interesting, maybe more real life stories rather than a book, or a spoon or paint brush. There wasn't enough information behind the... More

I went to the museum specially for the Pinkas Synagogue and the children's drawings. The queue to buy tickets was painfully slow because of the confusion about the different categories of tickets, so many tourists didn't know which one to buy. That caused a lot of delay at the cash desk, staffed by only one person (who was quite rude... More

For Easter holiday we went with our two teenage children for four days to Prague. After an initial exterior view via a Discover Prague tour previously, we bought a familly ticket to six sites, which was quite sufficient...Everyone enjoyed the cultural and historical tour of these heritage sites, with the remembrance of the Shoa on our minds...

I have to admit, although I had read many reviews that were less than inspiring, I expected to find the Museum more worthwhile than I did. I was primarily interested in viewing the artwork of the children of Terezin, but found the amount on display( In Pinkas Synagogue) very limited. The Jewish Cemetery was also limiting, as the path traveled... More

I would suggest getting the Jewish Muzeum pass valid for all the sites in the city, five or six synagogues, the Old Town Hall and Cemetery. The most moving of all was the Pinkas Synagogue, with its monument to the Jews of Czechoslovakia (as it was then). If you are only going to visit a couple of the Synagogues I... More

Gives you a well rounded insight into how the Jewish were treated back then, well worth a visit.

We spent a memorable hour here. Its just off the centre of the city and easily found. Very worthwhile even if purely from an humanitarian perspective. Its presented with few words but such sad beauty. A real treasure and a wonderful memorial to children who suffered from war and also many adults who were buried there. The "must sees" are... More
