Places of interests in Loreta Monastery and Treasury are The Santa Casa, Arcade, Churchof the Nativity of Our Lord, and Treasury. It is located about 1 km west of the Prague Castle complex and few minutes walk away from Strahov Monastery. You can easily combine it with other attractions. The 30 bells play every hour and old song dedicated to... More

The Loreta treasury has quite a few interesting pieces in its possesion, including the famous Prague Sun monstration. It would be very helpful to have a guide with you to visit it, since there is a lot of history connected to the place, and not everyone is really familiar with Catholic religion to fully enjoy it.

Loreta is so named because it contains a replica of the house of the Virgin Mary which is located in Loreto, Italy. Why would the Virgin Mary have a house in Italy, you may ask. Well, according to legend, angels "flew" the house of the Virgin Mary, which was once in Nazareth, to this village in Italy called Loreto. Why... More

The Loreta Monastery and Treasury always seem to amaze my guests when I take them there to see this little jewel tucked away in the corner of Prague's vast Castle District. If you have the time, this makes not only a peaceful way to spend an hour, but also shares some of the wonderful treasures that Prague has to offer

The monastery is beautiful, there are a lot of treasures there and the church is lovely. However, the entrance costs money, everything is heavily guarded by fences and thick glass, it's quite a small place and it's not that close to other sight locations. If you have already visited other sites or you're in the area, it is a lovely... More

It is worth going here if only to see the Prague Sun a diamond monstrance. The church has wonderful gilded baroque decoration.

Contains one of the best baroque churches in Prague, well worth the short trip round the corner from the Castle (and the entrance fee.) The Loreto shrine itself is in appropriately mystifying contrast, with little explanation if you don't take a good guidebook, or pay for the audio guide. The surrounding pantheon of martyred female saints includes one poor lady... More

Just one medium size room with superb exhibits of precious ornaments of the aristocrats. The church itself is beautiful as are many free churches in Prague. For photo taking you must pay 100 KR, and they charge extra you even for using the toilette... I believe that visiting the Schwarzberq palace (down the road ) with its 4 floors of... More
