You need your walking shoes for this and the climb up may tax some people, but it is worth it. Gets very busy after 10.00 am when all the tour groups descend.

Get there early to see much of the castle area before the tours arrive. The Changing of the Guard at noon is worth seeing but get there at least 20 minutes before it starts so you can get a good view

We wandered down from Petrin Hill, having taken the funicular to the top. On a hot day this is definitely the way to approach Hradcany as everything is now downhill, and the hills are steep. not much else to say which hasn't been said already. The views from the hill is spectacular and breathtaking. We walked through the paths down the hills and loved every minute.

Had to queue so long just to get into the church. Try to go early to avoid long queues. View of Prague city was fantastic though.

Because the ticket is good for two days, take your time and come back instead of getting warn out. Try to get there early or late in the afternoon to avoid to large crowds. Have a pilsner at the castle.

Great views. Lots of musems. the visit to the castle and all the area will take you the full day.

Lots of hidden jewels and lovely walk around the area.
