I recommend walking halfway up Petrin Hill and then jumping on the funicular at the half-way point if, like me, you can't make it any farther. The park is just beautiful. After going up the tower, we walked down the backside of the park which puts you right above the castle entrance. Very quiet and peaceful walk...nobody seems to know... More

When the weather is lovely take a nice stroll to the top of Petrin Hill. It is a steepish climb but we wandered up slowly and it did not take us long and that was with stopping to take in the view as we went. It was really nice to get a view of Prague from up high and the... More

I used this area for my morning runs and it was just lovely. I did not climb to the top of the tower, but there are wonderful views all around. Excellent re-cycling bins all around the park, particularly for plastics.

We rode the funicular up and walked for about 3 hours. The scenery is spectacular. There are a number of interesting sights within easy walking distance.

For a mere 24 Kr you can take the funicular up to the top of Petrin Hill. Alternatively use your 110Kr day pass to include it in part of a day out. Once at the top there are superb gardens, and a number of visitor attractions. One for the children is the hall of mirrors, which I remembered from my... More

It's a little out of the way and a bit of a trek to the top, but well worth the amazing views of Prague. Plus, it's only a few bucks for admission.

We used the lift, which only took 4-6 people so I imagine there could be delays when crowded. Try and go early in the day before the crowds !

We had perfect weather and spend many hours here. On the walk down we were treated to an outdoor concert band playing at the monestary. Felt llike we were in the Sound of Music!

The petrin hill is not to be missed. Use the funiculaire if you are not fit to go up as it's a steep way up. but worth the visit. I would skip on the attractions over there and simply enjoy the park.
