Neighbourhood: Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.

Excellent, but not really accessible. While they have an elevator there are still stairs, it needs an operator and wasn’t available after the concert

I love nothing better than wandering around the beautiful Old Town of Prague ,my twin brother Stephen and I were in Prague in the run up to Christmas ,with snow falling we trudged around this beautiful area of the city and passed The Estates Theatre .
This is one of the premier theatre's of the Czech Republic, constructed in 1783 ,such is the age and history attached to this theatre that Mozart conducted The Marriage Of Figero here ,the building looks amazing ,such an awesome looking structure ,very photogenic ,one of the prettiest buildings in the beautiful Bohemian city of Prague ,easy to locate along Zhelezna, most definitely well worth checking out if you're in the Old Town.

What a great experience seeing Don Giovanni.
Buying from the venue direct ensures the best value ticket.
Able to check your coat into the clock room.I did see a couple of ladies slip into dress shoes and leave there winter boots in the cloakroom.
Was just under £10 for a glass of wine and a programme in English.
There is a screen with subtitles in Czech and English above the stage.
Great to see an audience enjoying the performance without feeling a need to record and video it.

The only bluish grey theatre I've ever been to -- absolutely drop dead gorgeous! The blue color is so unique. The carvings and gilding, so pretty. And that's not even considering the history! That Mozart conducted Don Giovanni for the first time centuries ago in this house is so heart warming. Creates a magical connection with history and all that is good in humankind. I was fortunate to see the very same opera that he debuted here. Production was fantastic. Acoustics were great. Price was amazing for a box seat.

Beautiful building and wonderful performance, for vastly less cost than in other cities. Note - the second row of seats in the boxes gets an obstructed view.

We took a Viator tour of this and our guide said it was one of the most historic theater buildings in all of Europe. Prague was a major city during the period of the Holy Roman Empire. The theater is beautiful inside and out.

We enjoyed a wonderful production of The Magic Flute. The ensemble cast were excellent and the way Mozart was woven into the action on stage was delightful.
We were lucky enough to have box 10 on the first balcony and the view was absolutely superb. The box seats cost less than half of the price we paid for stall seats to see Magic Flute in Edinburgh.
The building is breathtaking and it is, at times, overwhelming to remember that Mozart himself conducted opera here.
If you visit Prague seeing opera here is a must.

Can this theatre be visited during the day?

There's at least one company in the city that organises tours of the theatre building - suggest you ask at the box office. But why not see a show!

Nice trousers, jacket and dress shirt got me in. I saw audience in long gowns and bling (mostly women), suits and one or two casually dressed blokes. Even a group of ladies with mid 19th century style gowns. Enjoy your visit! It really is a nice theatre.

Which is the best website to purchase tickets for the Estates Theater? I'm planning to study abroad in Prague over summer and I would love to see the Marriage of Figaro but I'd like to know which site is safest and reliable for US purchases. Please let me know!

I have heard that you can wait and buy tickets at the theatre, but does that hold true in July or do they sell out during the high season? The prices and availability vary by websites, and I have heard you don't need to buy ahead of time. Any advice on trustworthy websites to buy tickets?

La mejor opción es el mismo website del teatro.
Que disfrutes la función!
