I really wonder why this great gallery doesn't have more reviews yet but there also were hardly any people so it seems that most package tours only show their clients the outside of the building. The architecture is of course one of the reasons why you should visit Kampa Museum inside, too! It offers great view of the river, some... More

This museum was a very nice discovery - not so large as to wear you out, and cleanly presents a wide variety of art pieces that seem intended to amuse, provoke, or simply comment on their milieu. The organization of the collection was a little odd, as it wasn't always clear where to go from one room to another, but... More

Thanks to Mrs. Meda Mládek, art collector and benefactor, we've got great occasion to admire contemporary art of very high level. The architecture of building itself is already an object worth seeing. Spacious, very well organised, designed and not overwhelmed. I was also pleased to find some works of Magdalena Abakanowicz and another polish artist Edward Dwurnik. Museum is also... More

The Kampa Museum or as it should be 'gallery' houses the collection of a wealthy Czech/American couple, the building has been converted from a factory and has been done really well, I wonder whether it would be more of interest to architects than art lovers. The point of the collection is to preserve the culture of the Czech which it... More

Tucked away between the most legi and the Charles bridge is this beautiful museum which gave a good representation of Czech Modern art. Many new names I had not heard of, but were very much impressive and powerful. Although small in size, I recommend this museum because of its locations and even if the art is not to your liking,... Had a great time at this museum. The surrounding area is beautiful and peaceful. Worth a visit despite the fact that there is little mention of it.

The Kampa is a special place! First the location on the river is ideal for breathtaking views of the city and river. I especially loved phot ops from the museum's windows to take in the giant chair by Magdalena Jetalova and the yellow penguins lined up on a jetty backed by the Charles Bridge. The permanent exhibitions feature the work... More

I echo other contributors' comments about this modern art museum in the Kampa area. I don't know why it doesn't get a higher recommendation in most tourist guides. I just happened on it by accident, wandering through Kampa. The glass roof/balcony is wonderful, reflecting the blue sky. The works of art are thought-provoking or amusing. I especially liked the use... More

First, the space is gorgeous. The courtyard, small exhibit hall and gift shop are really nice. But the main attraction has to be the blue glass roff/deck with sculpture that juts out. It is really magnificent. As is the upper deck which is small but has really unusual views of the castle and river for photos. The exhibits are a... More
