From a window in our hotel, we kept seeing people strolling in and out of an entrance to a park and so curiousity called and in we went. Green and peaceful. Locals walking and playing with their dogs. Romantic couples relaxing on park benches riverside. Birdwatching, people watching - an oasis just moments from the hustle and bustle of cafes... More

It is rather a quiet part of the center of Prague. Do walk in the park which leads to the Kampa museum, do not miss the pinguins in the river, the huge baby statues by David Černý. Look for the John Lennon wall which is nearby. And stop for a coffee or lunch by the Charles bridge!

Just at the end of the Charles Bridge, under the castle, next to the river, is a small patch of quiet green park. Nice views of the city across the river, and one of the many nice urban parks in Prague. At night, however, some of the lighting is lacking maintenance. This makes it a bit dark and spooky at... 60 seconds from Charles' Bridge but sooo quiet and relaxed. This is the best place to chill out after a hard day's sightseeing, with the sound of the river drowning out the city noise. It's just around the corner from the Lennon Wall and there's a modern art gallery in the park with some David Cerny statues outside - really... More

This is a great little getaway and it's located right in the city! If you're walking across Karluv Most, take the steps down to your left, just after you've cleared the water but before the bridge ends, and you will be in this picturesque little cobbled square. There's restaurants and some shops on either side, with trees running through the... More

This really made our holiday, with friendly and helpful staff always at hand, and a beautiful view of the famous Charles Bridge (Karluv Most) and Kampa Park. The rooms were extremely clean and had everything that was needed and Kampa Park was within walking distance from the hotel, along with the Charles Bridge, also the breakfast was very good and... At Kampa Island (or better it is a peninsula) there is a big park; several restaurants and cafes; shops and a big square (Na Kampe). There is also an ancient watermill there. It is located below the Charles Bridge.
