Great place to spend xmas day night into boxing day morning with some new friends. Loved the golden eye cocktails even if they were rather expensive.

The atmosphere of this bar is unique. You feel like you're in New York or that you're one of Prague's intellectuals, talking about literature and philosophy. Maybe it's the books on the wall or the heavy furniture. They have special menu for whiskey, champagne and cocktails plus a cigar collection (we don't smoke, though). We tried 2 different rum cocktails... More

There is something very special about this bar. It has great selection of premium alcohol, very cosy interier and chilling atmosphere, but what really makes it stand out is service. They love what they do and they share this love with you. Highly recommended.

Bar and Books is much more expensive than other cocktail bars in prague but it is worth every crown. You get a cocktail for about 165 crowns but those are just special. And if you cannot find your favorite on the menu you can tell them what you want and they mix it for you. This ist perfect for a... More

My wife had an awful experience in this place which is hard to illustrate with words. Given that her group had spent quite a bit of money, the treatment she was subjected to by the waitress, manager & owner, was quite simply disgraceful. I for one will not be going back and have advised friends to do the same. They... More

It's all been said so I won't say very much more. Strongly reminiscent of the best, traditional, Mayfair London hotel bars.

I am seriously convinced that Bar & Books is the best bar one can get on this side of the Atlantics. The music - classical rock and jazz. The barman has such a style. The Rolling Stones lip poster on the wall - RS themselves were in the bar and left the autographs on it. Bookshelves. New Yorker, Bloody Mary,... More

We are sorry that we found the bar towards the end of our trip, as we would have liked to spend more nights there. Perfect service, huge bookcase, intimate decor and lighting, great music and after 6 PM it really gets busy but not loud. Perfect setting for a great cocktail for the connoisseurs of any age.
