Have been there yesterday and today only to be treated as second class people. Have been going there since December 2011 and all was fine, food and service but the last month have heard some rumors and confirmed them myself. Besides from the fact that the cafe was empty and 4 waiters including the manager were standing idle by for... More

Let me start by saying that we are extremely sorry about your experience at the Globe and I am personally shocked about your racist assumptions and inferences, as the Globe is very diverse with many different ethnic cultures working with us, not to mention the broad range of customers that are coming to us every day from all over the... The Globe bookstore is a dying breed of bookstores whose shelves are full of some ecclectic, but great, obscure literature and biographies that I usually don't even know exist, let alone that I am looking for, but I keep stumbling across them when I visit Prague and I am grateful. Last time, I discussed Salinger with the clerk and picked... More

I was there with my girlfriend few weeks ago. This store has a nice atmosphere and reasonable prices. Good for Prague center. We were there on Friday afternoon, there was some live music, brilliant choose for atmosphere, everything was synchronised. Nice. Service speaks english, better than czech, heh.:-) Food was not bad, but little far from perfect, I must say.... More

One of the only early '90s expat hangouts that's still bringing them in, the Globe serves up a range of very reasonably priced American cooking, desserts and coffee in a beautiful space in the heart of Prague's Nove Mesto. It's also by far the best English-language bookstore in town, with a thoughtful selection that ranges from Herodotus to Soros to... More

This is a great little cafe that turns into a nice bar to chill out with a few drinks in the evening. There's a great cocktail list, (try the frozen strawberry margarita), well priced and taste good, loads to choose from. The food list looked pretty good but unfortunately we visited this cafe/bar on the last night of our holiday... More

When you visit Prague you expect to try some traditional Czech food and to be surrounded by hundreds of years of central European culture but even if this expectation is legitimate, you should really go to the Globe and experience its friendly atmosphere, its delicious American food and the very good musical events which take place there quite often. The... More

The Globe is a great respite in the heart of Prague. It had been about a year since my last visit, and I was pleased to find all the things I love about the Globe still solidly in place, along with some new surprises and a great menu! First up - the English language book store is a gem for... More

I have been bringing sports teams to Prague for six years and our visits always begin, continue and end at the Globe. It is the ideal location close enough to walk to the center but far enough off the beaten tourist spots. This is the perfect place to gather you group whether for a quick breakfast (best coffee in town)... More

We visited the Globe in September and my 2 1/2 year old sat in on the story time in the bookstore. It was brilliant as we were then able to enjoy a delicious brunch in the cafe and just popped back and forth to check on the little one. A great find in Prague for nice food. There was also... More

I lived in Prague for several years, and The Globe was a total mainstay for me! They have great food with a great American menu. The servers definitely know how to make a mean cocktail; they don't water it down like other places--martinis, mojitos and other specialty drinks are fabulous. Also, they have wonderful coffee and a great selection of... More
