Visited the crypt in the Capuchin Church, and there was definately no disappointments. Mummies/corpses were spectacularly preserved, and the mass "allotment" at the end was indeed spine-chilling. Must see in Brno!

Not many exhibits, but fascinating and an Interesting encounter- strangely enhances one's sense of mortality. "As we are so will you be." Many attractions were closed or being refurbished in March - outr time of visit, however this was a quiet and settling experience. If you have never seen mummified people then here is an alternative to the catacombs of... More

If you havent seen mummified ( no preservatives used as with Egyptians) corpses then this is worth a visit. An interesting little monastery which holds the remains of mummified nobles and monks whcih are more than 200 years old. Can be a little disturbing if you havent seen this sort of thing before. You need to pay and extra Kr10... More

At least this was something I could do when the weather was Novemberishly inclement; have nothing to add to the others' reviews except you should do this even if you have slight doubts, though I've decided not to add any of my interior photos!

I gotta say that looking at dead bodies is not my favorurite pastime, but the Crypt is really interesting. It is strange to see the final resting places of people who lived several centuries ago.

Klaster Kapucinu or Capuchin Monastery is one of my favorite atractions in Brno. The atraction is not the monastery itself, but it's undeground with mummies. They are unlike others make by drying with air. The whole undergroud system of tunnels is build with ventilations holes which make the air constantly circuate and dry. So you can see number of monks... More
