The city of Gdansk was completely destroyed, but all buildings were gradually reconstructed after the war using historic pictures to match the original view of the city.

Take your camera for a stroll; it's a postcard from one end to the other. Full of shops and cafes, with incredible architecture everywhere you turn.

Gdansk is magnificent! Actually there is no need for a tour guide in Gdansk – just look up and you’ll see much more! All the buildings are different, each not similar to another, the staircases, decorated with heads of dragons and fish – you would not see it anywhere else in Poland. Renovations were done professionally, sometimes you would think... More

if you like architecture and small eating places you will like Gdansk old town. Two museums, lots of amber jewellery, amazing cobbled streets and waterfront. lots of places to stop for coffee or eating.

Due to the great work done to rebuild the Old Town after WW 2, making it look old, is of crucial importance making Gdansk a pleasant town to visit. We found it very charming!

Interesting facade of the buildings. The restaurants along the main road are pricey though. Beware of beggars.

Gdańsk is one of the most beautiful cities in Poland. For sure worth visiting! The better time of the year is between May and Sept. Walking among old fantastic buildings is unforgerrable. Feel free to sit in a cafe tarrace and watch people for a while. Taste typical liquer called Gold Wasser with tiny gold flakes in it! Admire Neptune's... More
