Wonderful atmosphere. When you enter the street you immerse old Gdansk climate. One of most favourite streets in Europe.

The street was very lovely and old but there are not much to see. There's a money changer in the end of the road by the corner with good rates.

In my first business trip to Gdansk a taxi driver recommended me to walk down this street. This is a picuresque small street in the Old Town with a lot of amber jewerly shops. I have never bought jewerly but I still like to stroll along the street enjoying the atmosphare.

In my opinion Mariacka Str. is the most beautifun streein in the Old Town! It is a MUST in your trip planning.

If you struggle to find a good photo opportunity on this street I'd be amazed, it is very picturesque and is one for the album when you get home but take your time before diving into the amber shops along the street, not the cheapest and there are many others on the rynek etc.

I have to agree with another reviewer that whilst its diffiuclt to see why this street is said to be the most beautiful street especially in the cold winter days - there is defintely something that is hauntingly enchanting about it. Diagon Alley from the Harry Potter film springs to mind as there are lots of dark and mysterious doorways... More

Maybe it was because it was December, and whilst it was pretty, I dont think this deserves the title of the prettiest street,
