It is perhaps implausible that a synagogue should have survived in Krakow for over 400 years. As the whole Jewish community around it was removed to the ghetto in Podgorze, and then onto their terrible fates in the camps, this building survived. It was misused for many years after the war, but has now been restored to house a superbly... more
