The Planty is outside the main walls of Kracow and is basically a park which encircles the town. There are lots of trees and unmowed grass. We passed a bandstand, a fountain and various benches etc but it's not terribly exciting as it is quite narrow.

The planty is perfect for a nice stroll on a sunny day. This was one of our favorite parts of Krakow.

Do not miss the northern part where the Barbican and armory still exist. Beautiful green space connecting both ends of the original city.

get an ice cream cone and take a nice long walk around the old city of Krakow.

The park that surrounds the old town is beautiful in winter and summer, very romantic for couples to walk and a good place to get your bearings if a little lost.

Too many beggars and street vendors. A popular meeting place for down and outs. I didn't feel that safe walking through it.

Nice walks plenty of trees and open areas , a shaded place to walk when the sun is beating down.
